LPS BackPack Walk and the Holmes Food Drive!
Holmes kids and families contributed greatly the foodbank and participated in the walk April 5th, 2104 at East High School.

Barn Dance, April 10
Southeast High School once again hosted our “Barn Dance”. Students were able to dress up and show off the dances they learned in PE with Mrs Rice. Thank you Mrs Rice for all you do to teach the joy and fun of fitness!
Our Holmes Ambassadors
Nebraska Human Resources Institute group…our Holmes Ambassadors. These students created an anti-bullying bulletin board. Possibly more cool than that, they also give the tours to new students. Thank you NHRI and Holmes Ambassadors!
SCHOOL IS COOL
We had School is Cool on Feb. 28th for our 4th and 5th graders.Four UNL Students came to give quick talks about staying in school, working hard, and studying.
Some of our Holmes students served as Ambassadors. They walked them to each class and introduced them before they spoke.
It was a great event !

A Friendly Reminder
Hello Holmes Community,
Just a friendly reminder about a couple of events for Holmes Community School.
1. Food Drive – Food Bank of Lincoln The annual food drive for non-perishable items to be donated to the Food Bank of Lincoln will run all this week. The classroom with the largest donation will be given a popcorn party. Anyone who donates to this cause is a winner. Please send non-perishable food items with your child this week March 24-28. Any item helps. Thank you for your continued support.
2. McTeacher’s Night – This event has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. We will look at another McTeacher’s Night in the future. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
