Holmes School celebrated Read Across America Day on March 2, 2012, with an all-school assembly. Each student brought a book along to the gym and everyone read their own book for 10 minutes. Then our principal, Mr. Pedersen, read a book to all of us. The highlight of the assembly was an online chat with a teacher from Holmes School who is teaching in Macedonia this year. We presented Miss Birdsall with over 1,000 books that the students collected.
